What is Military Social Work?

Military social workers are dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of service-members, veterans, and their families.

Their duties may include, but are not limited to mental, behavioral and other health services, social support, case management, rehabilitative care coordination, administration, and advocacy.

Military Social Workers work in a variety of settings such as community-based agencies, government, health and mental health organizations, and more. Some even join the military and become uniformed social workers serving active duty troops.
